Mike founded MF Digital Marketing on the premise that, in order to deliver unprecedented enrollment results for graduate schools, nothing compares to meaningful engagement with the target audience over the lifetime of their decision making process. He sold his first company - a creative agency named Kokopelli – in 2011 after 13 years of success with clients and offices in North America and Europe. Mike and his team have executed successful campaigns for Michigan State University, Indiana University, University of Nevada Las Vegas, University of South Florida, Arizona State University, and many others. Mike earned an AS in Business and a BS in Public and Environmental Affairs from Indiana University/Bloomington and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Roy is a highly accomplished and proven Business Development professional with a knack for quickly determining "fit" with prospective clients. His ability to explore and listen, then identify areas where resources are needed but don't exist is what makes Roy a great client-advocate. For over eight years, he has been active in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago mentoring children and is an avid hockey player. Roy graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science, Finance / International Business from Northern Arizona University, College of Business Administration.

Judy Giannetto, Content Strategist

Judy Giannetto, Content Strategist

Judy has created award-winning content strategies, magazine concepts, and feature articles for clients all the way from Chicago to Paris – including the John Marshall Law School, where she first met and worked with Mike Fogarty in the late '90s. With more than 20 industry awards to date, her experience spans markets as far ranging as higher education, business & finance, consumer lifestyle and arts & entertainment. Originally from the UK, Judy studied American & Commonwealth Arts at Exeter University before crossing the pond to earn degrees in English Literature, Art History and Theater & Film. She has a particular passion for architectural design, most recently converting a midcentury silk-screening factory on Chicago’s west side. When not hard at work developing award-winning content and tearing down walls, she enjoys confusing people with phrases like “Let’s have a knees up,” “I feel a bit peckish” and “Bob’s your uncle.”

Brian brings more than 15 years of design and communications experience to each MF Digital project he takes on, and has collaborated with Mike Fogarty on successful marketing campaigns for over a decade. He is a firm believer in simplicity, honesty and clarity in design, focusing on creating powerful, concise communications for nonprofit, higher education and fine arts clients. Above all, Brian believes that good work comes from good ideas, and is committed to old-school think-first art direction. He also believes that the design and publishing industries can lead the way in environmental responsibility, and works tirelessly to that end. When he’s not crafting a beautiful marketing campaign or championing the environment, Brian is often found fishing, cycling or making beer.

Peter Sparacino, Search Marketing Analyst

Peter brings a wealth of search marketing expertise to MF Digital, having worked in customer acquisition in hospitality, retail and other verticals. His analysis experience encompasses markets, spend commitments and campaign performance, which combine to provide all-important insights into current market trends, seasonality impacts and the significance of brand awareness. His expertise also extends to business-to-consumer search analysis and copywriting. While earning his BS in Finance at North Park University, Peter was named the 2010 Pitcher of the Year in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) divison.

John Birmingham

John Birmingham, MBA

John is an accomplished senior marketing executive with experience leading packaged goods, financial services, media and higher education marketing teams. John brings years of prospective student activation to the MF Digital Advisory Board. For six years, he served as the Chief Marketing Officer at DeVry University where he was responsible for a 60+ person department. At DeVry, John provided leadership to all facets of marketing covering brand strategy, digital/mobile optimization, data analytics and PR/Partnership efforts. Prior to DeVry, John served as Vice President of Marketing at the Chicago Tribune Media Group and Director of Advertising and Brand Management at Discover Card Financial Services. Currently, John is an EVP Managing Director of MediaVest Spark. John holds a BS in Marketing from Miami University and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

John Bremer

John Bremer, PhD

John is to research what Armstrong is to jazz — an innovator. He not only co-directed the Harris Center for Innovation, but also served as a senior research assistant to 2000 Nobel Prize in Economics winner Dr. James Heckman, specializing in selection bias issues. In 2011, John joined Toluna as Chief Research Officer, where he specialized in the areas of non-probability sampling, rare populations, selection bias, and online surveys. John is perhaps best known for developing sample selection and weighting methods such as SmartSelect and SmartCorrect at Toluna, and proprietary propensity score weighting techniques utilized by Harris Interactive. Added to that, his longstanding passion for politics led him to produce successful election forecasts in the United States in 2000-2012, and in the United Kingdom in 2005-2010. Bremer currently serves as Executive Vice President, Head of Research Science at The NPD Group. John earned a BA in Statistics from Rice University, an MS in Statistics from the University of Chicago, a PhD in Political Science from The University of Rochester and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Alex Duke

Alex Duke, PhD

Alex has more than 25 years experience in recruiting, admissions and student affairs, having held positions as Assistant Dean and Director of Admissions & Student Affairs, among other posts. Over the course of his career, Alex has been associated with some of the country’s most prestigious graduate schools of business, educational institutions and public policy organizations, including the University of Southern California, UCLA, the RAND Corporation, Miami University and the University of Illinois. Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in History at UCLA, and went on to combine his two passions for his doctorate study, earning a PhD in Higher Education at Indiana University, with an emphasis on the history of education. Alex enjoys cycling and hiking and is the author of Importing Oxbridge: English Residential Colleges and American Universities, which briefly cracked the top quarter million titles sold on Amazon. In Alex's words, "Sometimes six figures isn't all it's cracked up to be."

Rob Mooth

Rob Mooth

Rob has over 25 years of experience helping brands and clients grow with applied analytics. His experience spans leadership roles with both manufacturers and agencies, including P&G, BASES, Nielsen, and Ipsos. He’s helped launch dozens of successful new products, brought new analytical tools and systems to the market, published numerous articles and white papers on marketing topics, and led global client teams servicing the world’s leading marketers. Rob is noted for his passion for figuring out how things work and his ability to translate insights into action. He enjoys all things outdoors, is especially fascinated by American history, and is rumored to be a cutthroat competitor in fantasy sports. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Chemistry from Indiana University.

Susy Rotkis

Susan Rotkis, JD

Susan Rotkis has 25 years of legal experience that covers a broad range of turf. She has been a US Senate staff member, Legislative and Legal Counsel for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, served two stints as a Law clerk for United States Federal District Court Magistrate Judges, and general counsel for a defense-oriented technology start-up. Susan is currently Principal for Consumer Litigation Associates West PLLC, which represents consumers in litigation involving consumer protection law. Prior to law school, Susan worked in marketing communications and event management at the Arizona State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at EvansGroup (now Publicis) in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Arizona State University and her JD at Georgetown University Law Center.

Lisa Weinstein is an established media brand all by herself. She currently serves as CEO of Curiosity, a media and publishing spinoff of the Discovery Channel that reaches 70 million people through its 5-star app, website, and social presence. Curiosity helps in visitors to learn, get smarter and enjoy the answers to thousands of questions on topics of interest including science & technology brilliant products, travel, and productivity. Prior to Curiosity, Lisa earned a reputation as a strong leader in the Advertising industry, serving as CEO of Engine Media and President of Global Digital, Data & Analytics, at Starcom MediaVest Group (Publicis Media), and Managing Partner/Managing Director of Mindshare Chicago. Her professional accomplishments notwithstanding, Lisa’s most prized role is being a mom to two active boys and doing her best to keep up with them – so we are very fortunate that she is including time for us! She earned her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University.
